I can’t recommend Les Gateaux de Marie enough. From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. The young woman who helped us was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about everything they offered. She took the time to explain the different desserts, answered all of our questions, and made thoughtful recommendations without making us feel rushed. Her knowledge and warmth made the visit even more enjoyable. As for the desserts, they were outstanding. The vanilla éclair was perfectly balanced with a rich, silky vanilla filling and light, delicate pastry. The raspberry tart was fresh and vibrant with a buttery crust, and the mille-feuille had impossibly flaky layers with smooth vanilla pastry cream that tasted like it had just been made. Everything looked as beautiful as it tasted, and you can tell there’s real attention to detail in every pastry. If you’re on the Upper East Side and appreciate authentic French pastries (with some Eastern European influence), this place is an absolute gem. Amazing desserts, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again.

stopped by to try the cakes and Marie did not disappoint! the vibes of the cafe were incredibly cozy and the desserts all looked delicious! i was able to try the dark chocolate mouse mini cake and the raspberry filling inside was a nice surprise! the mousse had a great texture, and the fact that there was no extra sugar added was a great bonus (not too sweet plus less guilty eating it 🫣) highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance!

We stopped into Les Gateaux de Marie while in NYC and absolutely loved it. Such a cozy little bakery with the sweetest atmosphere. You can immediately tell the owner truly loves what she does and puts so much passion into every detail. Everything we tried was amazing. The latte, coffee, cupcake, and crispy heart were all so good. We sat down for a few minutes to relax and honestly just enjoyed being in the space. The bakery is beautifully designed and feels so warm and welcoming. One of my favorite parts was seeing the photos of the cakes she has created over the years. You could really feel her creativity and passion through everything in the shop. Everyone there was incredibly kind and helpful, and it ended up being one of those little places that makes a trip feel special. So glad we found it. Everything was affordable! We will be back!

This bakery is BEYOND. I wanted a custom cake for my husbands birthday and this team helped my vision become a reality. They made the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone at the party raved about how amazing the cake was, and it was truly the best cake we have ever tasted. I will be coming back for all of my future cake needs! The team was wonderful to work with.

The cutest coziest bakery in the UES. I needed a cake made for my fiance and his sister. La gateaux de marie delivered!!! They nailed my inspiration and responded so quickly. Communication 10/10! Now the cake- was so delicious. The frosting, the filling, and the cake base together was an insane combo. Everyone loved!
